Ladakh Motorcycle Expedition. Himalaya & Karakoram — Ride the Highest Roads on Earth

We explore one of the most spectacular regions on the planet: the Himalaya and Karakoram mountain ranges.

We fly to Srinagar, the summer capital of Kashmir and the epicentre of India’s mountain tourism — the perfect place for our first contact with the country and proper altitude acclimatisation.

The following day, we begin riding the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, a model that significantly improves off-road performance compared to the previous 410 version.

Crossing Legendary High Mountain Passes

Over 8 riding days, we travel through some of the most beautiful valleys on Earth and conquer legendary high mountain passes reaching almost 6,000 metres altitude, including:

  • Khardung La Pass

  • Umling La Pass

  • and several others above 4,000 metres

Along the way, we experience Tibetan culture, with monasteries appearing throughout each stage.

We stay in local guesthouses, specially adapted family homes where we enjoy excellent food and direct contact with the Ladakhi people and their Tibetan heritage.

For this reason, group size is limited to 10 riders, allowing authentic cultural immersion while avoiding large hotels.

Full Support and Expert Local Team

We travel with two support vehicles and the best local guides, former mountain guides who know the Himalaya and Karakoram intimately.

The expedition also includes:

  • Mechanical support

  • Daily luggage transport

Genuine Off-Road Adventure

Much of the expedition is off-road, either because:

  • roads are unpaved

  • asphalt has deteriorated

  • or we follow remote and rarely used mountain tracks

This includes:

  • river crossings

  • rocky terrain

  • mountain trails

  • remote river gorges

Road conditions vary constantly, as the region’s extreme climate means roads are in continuous repair.

The Best Season for Riding

The selected dates offer the best possible conditions for riding in Ladakh.

The expedition finishes in Leh, the capital of Ladakh, located at 3,500 metres altitude.

CFMoto 450 MT

CFMOTO 700MT
